Parental Abduction

The court has granted primary custody of Adeline Lee Høie to her father, Øystein W. Høie (me), while giving generous visitation rights to her mother Mio Jeanne Lee of 50% of the total time. Her mother still decided to abscond with Adeline from the country in January 2024, permanently cutting her off from her father, Norwegian family and friends. This constitutes parental abduction under international law.

I have compiled the relevant legal documents that establish my custody rights. These documents have been filed with the appropriate authorities, and U.S and Norwegian police are looking for Adeline and her mother.

The Hague Convention

My Goal: Reunification, Not Punishment

I want to be clear: my goal is not to punish anyone. I simply want to be reunited with my daughter and restore her right to know and have access to both of her parents. Every child deserves to maintain relationships with both parents when it is safe and in their best interest to do so.

I believe that Adeline's well-being depends on having both parents in her life, and I am committed to working toward a solution that prioritizes her needs and rights above all else.
