Who is Adeline Lee?
Adeline Lee Høie was born on June 3, 2018, and is now 7 years old. From the moment she was born, she filled my life with joy and purpose.
Adeline is tall for her age, very talkative and curious. When she smiles, she gets dimples on her left and right cheek. She is very girly, and even at five was very fond of trying play makeup, new clothing and accessories.
She likes listening to music, and she was constantly listening to the K-Pop band 'IVE'. Her favorite TV shows were 'Paw Patrol' and 'Catch! Teenieping'.
Adeline learned skiing at a very young age, only 3 years old, and we have been a lot to the mountains together. She is also fond of biking, and loves to climb and hang upside down at playgrounds.
She is fluent in both English and Norwegian, and also speaks Korean. Her name is spelled "Adeline Lee Høie" in Norwegian, while in English her last name would be spelled "Hoie" or "Hoeie".
She might have had her name changed, or been told a different story about her past.

What Happened?
In January 2024, Adeline was taken by her mother without my knowledge or consent. There was no warning, no opportunity to say goodbye, and no legal process followed. One day, they were simply gone.
I have been searching for her ever since, working with authorities and legal channels to locate her and bring her home. However, the process has been challenging as her mother may have moved far away, most likely to the U.S. or Korea.
This website exists for two main purposes:
- To create a digital footprint with Adeline's name so that as she grows older, she might search for herself online and find this site
- To reach out to anyone who might know Adeline now—teachers, friends, neighbors—who can help reconnect us
I want to make it clear that my intention is not to disrupt Adeline's life or cause her any distress. I simply want her to know that her father loves her, has never forgotten her, and would like to be part of her life in whatever way is healthy and appropriate.
